My name is Sven and I was born in the cold winter of 1980. In addition to my holy three daughters and my most beloved wife, I am enthusiastic about information technology in all imaginable forms.
In the mid 80's I started to get involved with the Commodore Amiga. What initially started with just playing developed into doing more and more with the Amiga as interest grew. The A500 was soon replaced by an A2000 and a few years later the A2000 by an A1200T. Personal note: At this point a huge compliment to my uncle, who always explained things to me as a young tormentor with the patience of an angel and was always there to help. I think without him I might not have this IT affinity today.
After my Amiga era, a Windows PC was purchased at the end of the 90s, very hesitantly but better late than never. The first Windows to be used was a well-known one from the year 98 in the second edition and consequently all subsequent versions up to this day. In the meantime, I dared to think outside the box a few times and the first Linux became a success. From then on, Linux was always used alongside Windows and after countless detours to foreign camps such as Gentoo, Fedora and Arch, Debian has prevailed for me to this day.
After some initial contact with programming and interpreter languages such as Arexx (REXX) and Basic on the Amiga, I began to get more and more involved with Visual Basic and Visual Basic .NET as well as Borland Delphi Pascal in the early 2000s, but ultimately ended up with Microsoft Visual Studio and, for a few years now, even VSCodium. Parallel to my first smartphone purchase, an HTC Diamond, I developed applications for Windows Mobile and was also very active in the Windows Mobile Custom ROM scene for several years, not just as a developer. Other languages such as Java, PHP, VB, C and C# were only used on a situational basis when necessary for certain projects, but were never used permanently. At the moment I'm mainly working with Python, Bash / Shell and, after several years, JavaScript again.
In 2018, the first 3D printer, a Geeetech A10, was purchased out of pure curiosity. Shortly afterwards, a Creality Ender 3, a Geeetech i3 Pro and finally a self-made HyperCube Evo followed, which brought me enthusiastically to the topic of DIY. The topic of DIY quickly captivated me and a number of projects arose for which not only the appropriate software had to be written or modified, but also the corresponding hardware had to be set up and the required printed parts had to be constructed. This is how my latest little project Porta Plotty came about, which my wife has successfully used for her fabric patterns.
Since I am a pretty big fan of electronic music and gained experience in my youth with the ProTracker (Amiga) and then with the Open ModPlug Tracker (then ModPlugTracker) on the PC, I came across the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) program FL-Studio from Image-Line in 2005. The intuitive operation and the simple program concept still convince me today and in conjunction with an old Casio keyboard (CT-670), coupled with a USB MIDI interface and appropriate cables, many private and only occasionally published compositions were created over the years. My inclinations are remakes of retro games medleys and my own compositions/arrangements in the trance genre, from acid trance over eurotrance to dreamy epic and uplifting trance tracks, often coupled with orchestral accents/passages.
Since 2021, I have been intensively involved in the topic of stock trading, fundamental and technical analysis of possible stocks in short and medium-term trading. Since 2024 I have been developing a framework for AI-supported technical and fundamental analysis.
